Installing the plugin
- Install the plugin
In Excel, go to Insert → Get Add-ins, search for DNK for Excel, and select Add.
- Sign in
Open the panel from the ribbon and sign in with your DNK account. The plugin runs on your account, so you only ever see the figures your access allows.
- Start pulling data
DNK for Excel opens as a side panel next to your spreadsheet. Search for the figures you need and place them straight into your cells.
Common questions
I can’t sign in.
DNK for Excel requires a DNK account. If your company uses DNK, ask your administrator for access. If you’re new to DNK, write to hello@dnk.co and we’ll set you up.
The panel doesn’t appear after installing.
Restart Excel, then check Insert → My Add-ins. If DNK for Excel is listed but won’t open, or isn’t listed at all, contact us and we’ll help you troubleshoot.
Is my data stored in the workbook?
Only the figures you place in your cells. The plugin stores no credentials or data in the workbook, and access is enforced on DNK’s servers with role-based controls. See our security page for the full picture.
